Empowering Health in Laredo

Laredo Health Promotores was founded with a simple yet impactful mission: to improve the health and well-being of families in the Laredo community. Established in response to the City of Laredo’s 2022-2023 Needs Assessment, our organization focuses on providing access to vital healthcare resources, transportation assistance, and health education. We proudly serve families in the 78040, 78043, and 78046 zip codes, offering transportation assistance to medical appointments, educational classes on preventive care, and connections to local health providers.

Partnering with organizations such as the City of Laredo Health Department, Laredo Stroke Support Group, Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation Center, and Mercy Ministries of Laredo, we strive to make a lasting impact on the community. With generous funding from Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ Prosperamos Juntos/Thriving Together Community of Solutions Grant, we have been awarded $1.4 million to continue our efforts over the next three years.

As we look to the future, our goal is to expand our reach, helping more families across Laredo navigate the healthcare system and gain access to the services they need. By promoting health equity and advocating for those in need, Laredo Health Promotores is committed to building a healthier, stronger community for generations to come.
